This black linen dress is the one you reach for on an every day basis. An A-line silhouette, two big patch pockets, subtle topstitched seams down the center front and back, and shorter sleeves that are cute as-is or rolled up. That's it. That's the dress — and that's kind of the whole point.

Sometimes we joke that our favorite colors are black and light black. It's just so versatile. Wear it on its own with your most ridiculous shoes. Layer a crop top, sweater, or duster over it. Belt it. Throw a knotted t-shirt on top. Style it with the Suspender Dress or a turtleneck underneath. Endless possibilities.

Made from 100% medium weight linen, handmade in Astoria, Oregon, USA. Sizes S–5XL.

Also available in green linen. 

Emily is 5'10", Bust 59", Hip 6", Waist 58" and wears the 5XL.
Becky (in the window room) is 5'1" and wears a commercial size 22/24 and is wearing Shift size 2XL.

Care Instructions

All Shift + Wheeler garments (except waxed canvas garments) are made of natural fibers and we recommend cold wash and hang dry, hot iron. If you must machine dry a linen garment, usually 10-20 minutes will do. All fabric is pre-washed to minimize shrinkage.

Shipping

We use the trusty ole USPS for all of our shipping needs. You can choose from Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. In stock orders generally ship within 2-3 days. Orders over $200 qualify for free shipping.

Returns

If you'd like to exchange an item, please send us an email, and send your package back to the return address on the shipping label within 30 days. The item must be in unused, like-new, condition or we cannot issue your exchange. Depending on the item, we may have to make one in your size. We are also happy to offer store credit. No refunds. No returns on custom orders.
