Choose your own dress adventure! We can make the Basic Dress out of any of the fabrics listed below. Keep in mind the fabrics run out sometimes, get restocked, maybe, and will change - definitely. So don’t sleep on that dream fabric! We’ve chosen the fabrics we think are perfect for this garment, so trust us when we say these are the ones that work best. Please keep your fabric limited to one only (no patchwork or contrast pockets) and we’ll cut and sew JUST FOR YOU. Let us know which fabric you'd like by adding a note to your order at checkout.

You may also choose regular length, or MINI, which is 6" shorter. Please note "mini" in the note at checkout along with your fabric.

Fabric notes: The 100% cotton fabrics will generally produce a light, airy garment, while the cotton/linen blends will result in a more substantial, yet still soft garment. Both are wonderful, it just depends on what you want. When it comes to stripes and checks, we do not pattern match, so please be aware your stripes and squares might not line up. It'll still look cute, we've done it many times and prefer the unmatched lines so you can see the dress details more.

They may be basic, but they aren't boring. This no-frills, A-line, longer linen dress has two big patch pockets on the front, subtle decorative topstitched seams down the center front and center back... and that's about it! Shorter sleeves look cute as is or turned up a few notches. A blank slate to add your favorite crop shirt, sweater, or duster on top of. Style with a belt or Suspender Dress or turtleneck! Throw a t-shirt over it and knot it. Wear on it's own with the most ridiculous shoes you have! Endless! Possibilities!!

Care Instructions

All Shift + Wheeler garments (except waxed canvas garments) are made of natural fibers and we recommend cold wash and hang dry, hot iron. If you must machine dry a linen garment, usually 10-20 minutes will do. All fabric is pre-washed to minimize shrinkage.

We use the trusty ole USPS for all of our shipping needs. You can choose from Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. In stock orders generally ship within 2-3 days. Orders over $200 qualify for free shipping.

Returns

If you'd like to exchange an item, please send us an email, and send your package back to the return address on the shipping label within 30 days. The item must be in unused, like-new, condition or we cannot issue your exchange. Depending on the item, we may have to make one in your size. We are also happy to offer store credit. No refunds. No returns on custom orders.
