OK! THIS DRESS HAS BIG POCKETS. It also has a fairly wide neckline, blousy fit bodice, drawstring waist, a-line skirt, and a hem that hits around the knee depending on how tall you are. Curves a wee bit longer on the back lower hem. Shorter dolman-ish sleeves make layering over and under easy. Made of our favorite medium weight 100% black linen, prewashed. Great for all seasons.
Sizes
Size chart is Actual Garment Measurements. Please be advised that 3-6” extra room at your widest point is needed for comfortable ease. For instance, Becky, in the black is wearing a 2XL and has a 52” bust. Measuring a garment you like the fit of and comparing it to the chart is a good way to go!
All measurements (shown with the pictures) are within 1” or so as they’re cut and sewn by humans. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any sizing or measurement questions. We're happy to accomodate for half sizes, longer or shorter lengths, a wider armhole, and other simple alterations.

This is my fifth dress from Shift. They’re so well made and comfortable, and this dress is no different.
This dress is the perfect combination of style and functionality. I love the silhouette of this dress, and I love the HUGE pockets that hold all the nonsense I cart around with me. I have this dress in a gorgeous kelly green and I absolutely adore it.
I love this dress! I have it in green and just pre-ordered in the black. You won’t find a better summer dress. I wear it to work and I wear it on the weekends. The cut is perfect for me. I’m 5’10” and the dress is a little below my knees. I get tons of compliments on it. I love the material, it’s light and breathable but you can also wear it year round! Do yourself a favor and get this dress. It’s perfect.
I have this in green, and it’s a perfect basic for any season. It’s light enough for summer, but still has enough weight to not fly up. In winter, it works great with leggings and a sweater or turtleneck. The fit is so comfortable — the tie cinches as much or as little as you want, and still has give because of the bit of elastic in the back. I’m 5’8 and it falls right at my knees. If you’re looking for a universal staple, for day to day, travel, etc, this is your ticket.
